You speak the truth with utmost clarity. Fashion is a race against time and the latest merchandise and so is fashion blogging. But only the best stand tall amongst the "its" and the wannabes! Great post!

Monique, thanks for such an honest post about fashion blogging. I've been thinking a lot of this myself and I agree with you there has been a lack of authenticity in bloggers to get enough comments to get sponsorships. It's hard to tell who is genuinely passionate about writing/style and those who just like free stuff.

Great post! I think authenticity is missing from a lot of blogs, but the bloggers who are genuine will continue to stand out.

I've recently started a fashion blog and see what u are saying, I know people usually go with the flow & end up just posting brand ads with no personal opinion, and the thing is, I think that a fashion blog needs 2 cover up much more than that I like 2 see make up, clothes, trends, but not just people walking around looking nice. I mean thats cool and everything, but wheres the personality factor?

but i definitly love bloggers like TMR who stay true to who they are, rather than leaving a post with one picture, and tags of all the brands and like one descriptive's like they really don't put much effort in once the big brands use them for advertisement.BUT anywho i'm definitly loving the blogging trend and hope it never dies.

This is a intresting topic and i love it. b/c recently I started a blog (its been around 3 weeks now) and b/c i haven't really seemed to get ANY traffic so i did consider doing the "follow me ill follow back" thing but decided against it b/c i want an audience that'll genuily love my style and are willing to share my fashion/life journey with me- which is my main reason for starting one...
